Canterbury Development Corporation is the main sponsor and coordinator of the Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme (YES) for the Canterbury region.
In the Young Enterprise Scheme senior secondary students operate their own companies during the YES year. Personal achievement and excellence is encouraged through Dragon’s Den-style competitions, workshops and public trade fairs involving the wider community and industry in assisting YES students to open pathways for future business and learning. Students experience not only the business process, but take innovative ideas and make them into real products, with advice from real business mentors.
