Outside The Square is an inititive with the Canterbury Development Corporation to build, embed, and promote an enterprising culture in Canterbury.

Outside The Square (OTS) is an initiative of the Canterbury Development Corporation (CDC) working to embed an enterprising culture in Canterbury.  Canterbury Development Corporation (www.cdc.org.nz) is the economic and employment development arm of the Christchurch City Council (www.ccc.govt.nz).   

Enterprise Champions Network (ECN)

ECN is a pilot scheme exemplifing Education for Enterprise (E4E) into seven Canterbury Secondary Schools. The ECN aims to link schools, business, the community and government to create an enterprising community. Each school is developing their own enterprise leadership culture and is implementing E4E across the school. Outside The Square facilitates E4E professional development and learning workshops and encourages both teachers and businesses to attend the regular ECN network meetings. For more info about ECN, contact anne-marie.kite@cdc.org.nz.

'E' in Me Seminar
There is an enterprising person inside all of us, just waiting to get out!  The 'E' in Me Seminar is available to schools and community groups free of charge.  We’ll tailor the seminar to your requirements.  If you would like a seminar contact andrea.heffernan@cdc.org.nz.

Lion Foundation Young Enterprise Scheme (YES)
YES is an experiential business programme for senior secondary school students at years 12 and 13. YES is a programme of Enterprise New Zealand Trust. Canterbury Development Corporation coordinates and is the main regional sponsor for YES in Canterbury. Contact otscoordinator@cdc.org.nz.
