The West Auckland Research Centre has recently completed an Oral History project called Henderson Stories.  The Henderson Stories project captures twelve authentic narratives from Henderson’s culturally diverse heart.
Hear shopkeepers, community workers employees and elected representatives telling everyday stories of their working lives and experiences and sharing aspirations for their suburb.
The Oral history interviews are complemented by photographic documentation and video footage.
You can view photographs and hear a short sound clip on the Local History Online website.

The Henderson Stories project will feature in an upcoming exhibition in the J.T.Diamond Gallery, Level 2, Waitakere Central Library, Henderson, from Feb to May 2017.
